Upstairs at Harlem the music is soulful and sweet, the perfect accompaniment to our great authentic soul food, whether it’s Birdland jazz, Delta blues or Memphis horns. Over brunch it plays lightly, slightly and politely, but the tempo and the volume pick up as the sun goes down.
Downstairs in the Underground the lights go down, the music turns up, and things get a bit more raucous and out of control, with DJs playing deep, sweaty funk, soul classics, old-school hip-hop and a touch of house. We play the finest in American music, from Motown to Memphis and New Orleans to New York City.
